Signs of activity
New patches, enlargement, confetti-like spots or pigment loss after friction or injury can indicate activity. A clinician interprets these signs in context.
A practical photo method
Use the same room, lighting, distance, position and camera where possible. Add a date and review at sensible intervals rather than checking daily.
