When can it be considered?
It may be discussed when a very large proportion of visible skin is depigmented and repigmentation is not a realistic or desired goal. Personal priorities and psychosocial impact are central.
Not an ordinary cosmetic procedure
Medical depigmentation requires careful counselling about permanence, incomplete results, irritation, recurrence and lifelong sun sensitivity.
Cosmetic brightening products
