UV protection

Sun protection with vitiligo

White patches contain less protective melanin and can burn more quickly. Sunscreen works best as one part of a combined strategy.

In brief

Key points

  • Broad-spectrum protection
  • Apply generously
  • Use clothing and shade
  • Reapply appropriately
01

A combined approach

Covering clothing, a hat, shade and avoiding intense midday sun reduce exposure. Apply sunscreen early enough and to all exposed areas.

02

Renew the layer

Reapply after swimming, heavy sweating, towelling and according to the current product directions. Camouflage does not replace adequate UV protection.
