The clinician considers distribution, surface change, symptoms and pigment loss elsewhere. Pain, ulcers or texture changes require a separate explanation.
Location-specific treatment
Products designed for external skin are not automatically suitable for mucosa. Use only preparations specifically intended or prescribed for that location.
